Still about my wedding, this time I want to share few moments that captured in some pictures. I never post these in any social media, but as this blog is functioned as a story book, I want to keep those memories in here. There are some reasons why I don’t post my wedding photos in social media account (such as Instagram, because that’s the only social media account I have).

First, I’m trying to control my self to not post everything in public social media. Playing social media for me is really time consuming. When I check the feed, it’ll end up for me to scroll up and down Instagram, see many kind of things that will only waste my productive time. Second, sometime everything you post on your account will be taken personally by some people who felt that we just want to show off everything about our life. It is exactly the same as we felt when we saw our friend or people’s feed that (looks) have everything in their life. That will make us to be ungrateful of what we already have. Third, I think that my husband is also trying to change my habit in playing social media, to not post everything publicly, especially if that thing is related to private or personal matter. Forth, I’m educating my self to use my social media account into something more useful, such as for sharing thoughts and discuss some random topics that might be useful and educate people. Fifth, I want to practice my English skill by writing. I think it will help me a lot when I decide to continue my study or living abroad as a citizen someday (that is one of my dreams, just so you know it).

Coming up to those reasons, I think it is more wise for me to use blog than social media if I want to keep and share personal things. So here are some captured moments from my wedding day. Lovely, isn’t it? 🙂

Do you know the feeling when you get the best gift in your life? The feeling when God finally give you something very special after you wait for it in a very long time. That was exactly I felt when married to this guy. Never imagine that I would marry with one of my school mate. And I never thought that I would completely in love with my friend when I think it’s no longer possible for me to fall in love ever again in my life.

Of course it wasn’t just happen like that. We were comfortable as a friend, just an ordinary friend. We’re not even that close to get used to spend time together frequently. But I can assure you that he would be that friend whom you can always rely on, especially as a photographer friend-zone boy, haha! Well, I’m just kidding. But he really is that kind of friend. I mean, if you were me, I’m sure you will also happy to be his friend because he cares and likes to help people.

Now back to moment when he stated his intention to marry me after 4 years no contact and never keep in touch, he just came to visit me, sat on the floor in train station (yeah, it was not a romantic place at all to propose someone), talked to me gently and said that he wanted me to be his lifetime companion. Now that I’m with him, recall that mind over and over again, I feel so blessed and grateful. I think that what’s make so special about our relationship is because we don’t fall in love from long-time relationship like other people, but we do in love right after we make a commitment, a serious commitment in a serious relationship like marriage, not as a girlfriend-boyfriend thing.

We don’t fall in love. We build love and we stay in love.

And I am so glad that I married to him, because from now and forever, he will be my only best friend for lifetime. My eternally grateful to Allah, because He sent me a person like him as the answer of what I have asked for in my every prayers.
